Gas Suppression

They can be invaluable in protecting equipment or materials that would be irretrievably damaged by water or other fire extinguishing mediums such as foam.

Upon detection of a fire, gas is discharged throughout the protected space extinguishing the fire with minimum damage to surrounding equipment or materials. Gas fire suppression systems work by entering the equipment and the surrounding area and absorbing the heat or depriving the fire of oxygen.
All gas suppression systems can be actuated by various automatic means of detection with manual override/actuation dependent upon the system, the risk profile of the premises and other factors.
Gas suppression systems can generally be divided into two separate categories based upon their extinguishing characteristics.
